Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at this opportunity to work with us at Agent.
Like any big decisions in life, it’s important to have all the information at hand to help make sure the job choice you make is the right one. I’ve put together some essential ‘must-knows’ about us. It goes without saying that I could go on all day here – I promise I won’t. We established Agent back in 2006 – it feels like yesterday and what a ride it’s been. It’s our sweet sixteenth this year and the future has never looked brighter for us.
We’re a full-service brand and communications agency. In a nutshell, this means that we deliver a fully integrated offering for our clients – from start to finish. Our clients are based all over the UK, across a whole range of different sectors and industries; clean growth, tech for good, public sector, connectivity. We’re in business for good and they are too. We help them share the great stuff they’re doing, whilst encouraging and supporting them to do even more.
Last count, there are 36 of us in our growing team; strategists, designers, animators, programmers, UX designers, digital marketers, canines – the lot. We reckon there’ll be about 40 of us by summer 2022. We’re a close-knit, passionate bunch that love working together and supporting each other; bringing our individual skills and talents together to create brilliant work that works is what we do best.
We’re a growing business and we’re doing it sensibly, responsibly, and sustainably. We want amazing people to join us who want to play an active role in what our growth journey looks and feels like (and have a whole load of fun along the way). We’re proudly based in the North West and our teams work across our studios in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and Manchester’s Oxford Road.

We want to use our business for good and make real, positive change, which is why we launched our brilliant Agent Academy in 2014, to help train and connect the next generation of talent into the creative and digital sectors. We’ve helped hundreds of young people get their foot in the door and we’ve got big aspirations to do even more this year.

Storyboarding, scripting and scamping – you’ve got the skills to define an idea and sell it in with passion and precision.
You’re no stranger to Adobe. Working in Illustrator and Photoshop is second nature.
You love collaborating. You’re a people person and a team player. You’re passionate about mentoring, skill sharing and being part of a team is where you’re happiest.
You get your energy from working with different people, from designers to copywriters, and you always bring your skills and your best self to the table.
You’re open, honest and just a damn good person. You don’t mind asking for help, or helping others out when they need it, even if you’re really busy. You genuinely care about other people.

Ideally 2+ years’ agency (or similar) experience.
A strong portfolio of diverse motion work.
Strong working knowledge of either Cinema 4D and/or After Effects.
Great knowledge of pipeline and process.
Knowledge of using Octane and/or Redshift.
Confident in producing work from concept to final piece.
Good knowledge of 3D modelling.
A good understanding of animation principles.
Character rigging and animation.
Experience in storyboarding and scripting.
Ability to illustrate and draw.
Editing skills in Adobe Premier.
Confident presentation skills.
Great at taking feedback.
A proactive mindset and a strong ability to use your initiative to make things happen.
Excellent communication skills. You can create a narrative and take people on a journey.
An ability to multitask and prioritise – you’re super organised and never miss a deadline.
A commitment to ongoing development. You love to learn and improve your skills and help others to do the same.
An innate, deep-down drive to create incredible work. You want to win awards for the content you create and the coverage you secure.
