Agent Academy has appointed MyTutor.co.uk’s former People Operations Lead, Yasmin Lord-Pottinger, as their Head of Agent Academy.

She will replace Zoe Wallace, who has transitioned into the role of Partnerships Director for both Agent Academy and their sister enterprise, Agent.

Agent Academy, with locations in Manchester and Liverpool, has been working tirelessly since 2014 to elevate the skills of the next generation of digital, creative, and tech professionals, preparing them for employment in emerging careers. With a remarkable track record of success, over 95% of their graduates have secured coveted positions in the creative and digital industries, generating an impressive combined annual salary of over £17 million.

Paul Corcoran, the founder of Agent Academy said: “We are thrilled to welcome Yasmin to our team as she brings a wealth of talent and expertise in leadership and people management.”

He continued by saying, “With Yasmin’s impressive knowledge and experience, we are confident that we can continue to fulfil our mission of supporting a diverse range of talent and pioneering the industry. Her expertise will help ensure that the next generation of professionals have the necessary skills, connections, and experience to launch successful careers with top employers.”

Yasmin’s background includes more than 8 years of experience in HR, where she has honed her skills in working with high-growth tech startups to develop innovative people functions and teams. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on supporting career advancement and personal growth, while also creating inclusive and supportive work environments that foster collaboration and success.

Lord-Pottinger, who will be based in Agent Academy’s Manchester office on Oxford Road, said: “Agent Academy is an incredible business to be a part of right now, their creative and collaborative approach to tackling some of the most complex skills and talent challenges facing educators and employers is impressive.

I am thrilled to be joining Agent Academy’s leadership team, to help drive their ambitious goals of discovering untapped talent and revolutionising learning experiences.

In my role as Head of Agent Academy, my primary focus will be to establish it as a leading destination for the next generation of talent. I will be working closely with our partners to help them overcome internal challenges in recruiting and supporting emerging talent.

As a proud Northerner, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young people in the North West. I believe talent is universal, but opportunity is not, and I’m committed to breaking down barriers and creating pathways for young people to succeed.”
